CREATIVITY IS YOUR BRAIN HAVING FUN!
The LIVE CREATIVELY retreat, led by social scientist and creativity expert Dr. Beth Beck, will kick off the new year by stretching and honing our creative muscles.
We'll explore HOW WOMEN CREATE, leaning into our nonlinear, multiprocessing super powers. We'll experiment, discover, break rules, and make mistakes while we PLAY and embrace our 'different-ness.' Be prepared to surprise yourself.
Throughout the retreat, we'll explore unconventional, nonconformist artistic styles; challenge our expectations and perspectives; investigate our own creative preferences; and PLAY with fun techniques to gain confidence with artistic expression. We’ll work to identify, understand, and reject limiting beliefs; embrace the freedom of imperfection; and step into the creative unknown.
The GOAL, should you dare to accept it: acknowledge you are one-of-a-kind, and recognize creative elements that uniquely reflect who you are.
No art experience necessary; however, CURIOSITY is required.

About Beth:
MillHouse Founder and Social Scientist Beth Beck PhD retired from NASA in 2018 after 33+ years in public service. After moving to McKinney from the Washington DC area, Beth recognized a gap in the marketplace for women entrepreneurs in creative fields. MillHouse was born. She leads the two sister nonprofit corporations: MillHouse Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit; and MillHouse McKinney, a 501(c)(6) membership-based business league. Both organizations, located at the historic McKinney Cotton Mill, support micro business women in creative fields by offering opportunities to enhance their skills, connections, and earning potential. She is a co-founder of the new Arts Alliance of North Texas, created in 2026 to connect arts communities, amplify art, create opportunities, expand advocacy, build economic prosperity, and enhance cultural tourism for the region.
