Our History

Our nonprofit team, led by CEO/Executive Director Dr. Beth Beck, is passionate about creating opportunities for small business women to gather around shared interests within their fields of expertise, while cross-pollenating ideas across different creative guilds. Creative Services Director Aimee Woolverton manages the photography studio 

Our nonprofit team, led by CEO/Executive Director Dr. Beth Beck, is passionate about creating opportunities for small business women to gather around shared interests within their fields of expertise, while cross-pollenating ideas across different creative guilds. Creative Services Director Aimee Woolverton manages the photography studio services at MillHouse, including Cotton Mill location shoots. Art Director Dana Brock manages the MillHouse Gallery, ArtFest, Makers Market, Public Art Murals, and Open Studio events. Member Services Coordinator Whitney Wilson and Wellness Coordinator Megan Huff focus on the member journey.

Based on the groundbreaking work by our sister nonprofit, MillHouse Foundation, we formed MillHouse McKinney, a 501 (c)(6) nonprofit business league, to organize shared business interests of small business women in creative fields, and to improve awareness and business conditions within the local community. MillHouse McKinney offers women

Based on the groundbreaking work by our sister nonprofit, MillHouse Foundation, we formed MillHouse McKinney, a 501 (c)(6) nonprofit business league, to organize shared business interests of small business women in creative fields, and to improve awareness and business conditions within the local community. MillHouse McKinney offers women a creative co-work space and dedicated studios to pursue and practice entrepreneurship through art, photography, wellness, and other creative fields.

MillHouse McKinney operates a 6000 square foot membership-based creative co-work space at the Cotton Mill, featuring shared living room spaces, private studios; kitchen and coffee bar; well-equipped photography and wellness studio; art gallery; client meeting space; and two outdoor patios. Members lead and participate in daily programming

MillHouse McKinney operates a 6000 square foot membership-based creative co-work space at the Cotton Mill, featuring shared living room spaces, private studios; kitchen and coffee bar; well-equipped photography and wellness studio; art gallery; client meeting space; and two outdoor patios. Members lead and participate in daily programming designed to foster connections and collaborations, resources sharing, skills development for small business women in creative, entrepreneurial fields.
